Monday: CLOSED

Tuesday:  CLOSED 

Wednesday: 7pm–2am 

Thursday: 7pm–4am 

Friday: 7pm–4am

Saturday: 7pm–5am

Sunday: 3pm–4am

  • There is a $5 cover at Jackhammer on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 10pm. Cover charges are subject to change based on special events and parties. The Hole is open Thursday - Sunday at 9pm.

  • All backpacks, bags and large purses MUST BE checked.

    Lockers and coat/bag check available.

    Backpacks, large purses, bags and fanny packs are subject to search prior to entry at staff discretion.

    All liquids (including water) must be forfeited prior to entry.

    Lost coat check ticket items can be picked up after last call.

    Jackhammer is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • Any patron caught using or attempting to sell/offer drugs to anyone at the bar will be subject to expulsion from the bar immediately. Repeated offenses will result in a permanent ban from all 2Bears Tavern Group establishments.

 

Jackhammer, located at 6406 N. Clark Street in Chicago’s diverse Rogers Park neighborhood, has been serving the broader LGBTQIA+ communities for over 20 years, creating and preserving a safe space for exploration, education, leisure and community engagement for visitors throughout Chicagoland and across the globe. Spread over multiple levels including an outdoor patio, Jackhammer draws a diverse cross-section of people from the LGBTQIA+ communities and those interested in learning and experiencing various aspects of those communities. 

With its late-night license and large dance floor, Jackhammer is the go-to bar for the broader LGBTQIA+ community until 4am (5am on Saturdays). And free pool and free darts are always available.

Jackhammer is proud to be an important part of Chicago’s LGBTQIA+ history and future.  In the tradition of the great community bars and following the history of pioneering gay leather bars, welcomes a diverse clientele through engaging and unique programming, entertainment, and educational series, a friendly customer-focused team, and a comfortable, yet modern space.  

On a typical day you will find Jackhammer occupied by a diverse mix of the global LGBTQIA+ community and their friends seeking a safe, no-attitude space. We are and always will be a place for people to come and be themselves.
